Sure. I think that point is obviously the most contentious point as I’ve realised in the past yellow emoji, especially the one with nerd glasses leads to stereotyping Asian people. You can definitely see it from that view but I viewed it from contrast level standard. And the only reason I stated yellow as neutral is because that’s the original colour of face and hand emojis, it’s less likely to alienate certain group compared to, say, if I use brown skin emoji. Just so happens that yellow has much better contrast against dark or light backgrounds. IF the neutral/original emoji skin colour was blue, I’d be using blue provided that they have a decent contrast level too.
Plus if everything else fails, opt in to more neutral such as cat emoji.
